Civil Engineer

About the role

The Civil Engineer will lead on‑site civil works, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget while complying with engineering drawings and international building codes.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and monitor structural concrete, excavation, and earthworks, assigning daily tasks to masons, carpenters, steel fixers, operators and civil laborers.
• Sequence excavation, rebar tying, formwork erection and concrete pouring, and oversee subcontractors to resolve design clashes early.
• Implement zero‑tolerance safety rules, conduct daily toolbox talks, and verify all permits, JSA, and PTW are active.
• Inspect scaffolding, shoring, trench benching, heavy equipment, concrete slump tests, cube sampling and curing procedures.
• Check alignment of foundations, columns and anchor bolts using survey data and sign off pre‑pour checklists.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical/Civil Engineering, Welding & Fabrication Technology or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant construction experience in oil & gas, EPCIC or industrial projects.
• At least 5 years in a supervisory role.
