About the role

The Head of Research works directly with the Chief Investment Officer to define and execute the firm’s investment strategy. This senior position leads both qualitative and quantitative research, ensuring portfolio performance aligns with strategic goals while managing risk.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the annual investment strategy planning process.
• Monitor and analyze market trends to uncover opportunities and risks.
• Conduct due‑diligence on potential investments and assess their risk‑return profile.
• Develop on‑the‑ground coverage of target regions and build a strategic network.
• Identify tactical plays based on robust market intelligence.
• Collaborate with trading and operations teams to maximize transaction value.
• Analyze datasets using advanced statistical tools and machine‑learning techniques to identify drivers of return.
• Build quantitative factor models that forecast market performance.
• Apply portfolio analytics to guide security selection and risk management.
• Communicate fund performance and strategy to wealth advisors and investment consultants.
• Prepare and maintain investment strategy pitch books and product sheets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Hard Sciences or Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in research, fund management, investment banking or investment management at a top global or top‑10 local firm.
• Experience in macroeconomic research and fund management; strong interest in global markets.
• CFA certification required or in progress.
• Deep knowledge of the securities industry, product and portfolio management.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
