Head of Product Management

About the role

The Head of Product Management will lead the end‑to‑end product strategy and lifecycle for Union Bank’s portfolio. Based in Lagos with hybrid flexibility, the role ensures products are customer‑centric, commercially viable and aligned with digital and business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Define product vision, set priorities and manage road‑maps across the bank’s product suite.
• Oversee product development, launch and continuous improvement, coordinating technology, operations, marketing and sales teams.
• Analyse market trends, customer insights and performance data to optimise existing products and identify new opportunities.
• Mentor and develop product managers, establish best practices and ensure regulatory and risk compliance.
• Collaborate with sales to drive product adoption, revenue growth and customer engagement.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in product strategy and lifecycle management with a track record of successful product portfolios.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret data, market research and customer insights.
• Leadership experience managing product teams and aligning cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for senior leadership audiences.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or related field; MBA or relevant master’s degree is a plus.
• Experience in banking, financial services or fintech, with knowledge of digital channels and regulatory requirements.
