Head of Capital Markets

About the role

The Head of Capital Markets will build and lead Aithnastone’s capital markets platform, covering equity and debt transactions for corporates, governments and financial institutions. This senior position is responsible for originating, structuring and executing capital raising deals while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead origination of equity and debt mandates and develop relationships with corporates, governments and institutional investors.
• Execute IPOs, private placements, debt issuances and structured securities, coordinating legal advisers, regulators, investors and external consultants.
• Engage institutional investors, lead marketing roadshows and support book‑building and pricing processes.
• Ensure compliance with SEC rules, NGX listing requirements and capital markets disclosure standards.
• Build the capital markets franchise, develop structured finance and securitisation capabilities, and deliver revenue targets.
• Provide leadership within the Group’s Management Team, develop succession plans and promote the firm’s culture and values.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field; MBA or MSc Finance preferred.
• Professional certifications such as CFA, ACA or ACCA.
• Minimum 8 + years’ experience in investment banking or capital markets, with strong experience in IPOs, debt capital markets and private placements.
• Proven ability to engage regulators and institutional investors.
