Head of Off-Grid & Reactivation

About the role

The Head of Off-Grid & Reactivation will lead strategy and execution to recover revenue, re‑engage disconnected customers and convert off‑grid generators to grid supply, supporting sustainable growth for a major Nigerian electricity distributor.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement campaigns to re‑engage exited customers, identify root causes and drive measurable load and revenue recovery.
• Identify high‑load off‑grid customers, assess their energy profiles and negotiate conversion to the grid.
• Maintain a structured pipeline of re‑engagement and conversion opportunities, ensuring accurate tracking and progression.
• Engage customers to understand their energy needs, design tailored solutions and strengthen the value proposition.
• Monitor performance metrics (recovered load, reactivations, revenue) and provide data‑driven insights to management.
• Establish strategic partnerships with developers, industrial clusters and embedded generators to expand market reach.
• Prepare regular reports on recovery performance, ensuring accuracy, consistency and timely submission.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental and regulatory standards in all activities.

Required profile

• First degree in Economics, Business Administration, Engineering or a finance‑related discipline; postgraduate qualification (e.g., MBA) is an advantage.
• 12‑15 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in a senior management role within electricity distribution or related sectors.
• Proven track record in revenue growth, load monetisation and customer recovery initiatives.
