Head of Finance & Operations

About the role

HR On Wheels is seeking a strategic leader to head its Finance & Operations function in Lagos. Reporting to the Executive Management team, you will drive financial performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and oversee day‑to‑day business operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead accounting, financial reporting, treasury, taxation and compliance activities.
• Prepare and present management accounts, board reports, audited financial statements and regulatory returns.
• Own the annual budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and strategic planning processes.
• Manage liquidity, cash flow, working capital and treasury operations.
• Provide financial analysis to support investment, pricing and profitability decisions.
• Drive cost optimisation and strengthen internal controls.
• Liaise with auditors, regulators, banks and tax authorities.
• Oversee administrative and business operations to ensure efficient daily functioning.
• Lead and develop finance and administrative teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (ICAN, ACCA or equivalent) strongly preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive finance experience with significant leadership exposure.
• Proven track record in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, taxation and regulatory compliance.
• Experience preparing management accounts, board reports and audited statements.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to translate data into business insights.
• High integrity, attention to detail and sound judgement.
