Head of Finance

About the role

ParkPay is seeking a Head of Finance to lead all financial operations from its Lagos office. This senior, full‑time position will shape financial strategy, ensure robust reporting, and support the company’s rapid growth in the gig‑economy fintech space.

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and cash‑flow management.
• Prepare, review, and present accurate financial statements and reports.
• Develop and maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with Nigerian financial regulations.
• Manage relationships with banks, auditors, and external partners.
• Monitor key financial metrics, optimise unit economics and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
• Build, mentor and manage a high‑performing finance team.
• Collaborate closely with product, operations, and risk teams to support sustainable growth.
• Oversee tax, regulatory reporting and compliance requirements.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in corporate finance, FP&A and financial reporting.
• Proven analytical ability to interpret data, build models and derive insights.
• Hands‑on experience with budgeting, forecasting and cost control in fast‑paced environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field; professional certification (ACA, ACCA, CFA) is a plus.
• Senior finance leadership experience, preferably in fintech, financial services or high‑growth technology companies.
• In‑depth knowledge of Nigerian financial regulations, tax and compliance requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
