Head of Finance

About the role

The Head of Finance will lead all financial operations for a pharmaceutical company based in Alagbado, Lagos. This full‑time, on‑site position is responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting and supporting strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee preparation of financial statements and supervise accounting processes.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow monitoring activities.
• Provide financial analysis to senior leadership and review financial performance.
• Implement and maintain internal controls, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate with external auditors, banks and regulatory bodies.
• Guide and develop the finance team, improve financial systems and processes.
• Partner with senior leadership to optimise profitability and support business growth.

Required profile

• Strong finance and accounting foundation with experience in finance and budgeting.
• Proficiency in preparing and interpreting financial statements and reports.
• Demonstrated analytical ability to interpret data, identify trends and make recommendations.
• Experience implementing robust internal controls, compliance practices and risk‑management frameworks.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field; professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CFA) preferred.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a finance team.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
