Head of Community

About the role

The Head of Community will lead the strategy, growth and health of 247Bet’s user community across in‑app social features and external channels. Based in Lagos, this full‑time hybrid role reports to senior leadership and acts as the voice of users inside the company.

Key responsibilities

• Own and execute end‑to‑end community strategy across in‑app social features, tipster communities and external channels (Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord, X, Instagram, TikTok).
• Grow an engaged, active community to drive retention, loyalty and word‑of‑mouth referrals.
• Build, lead and scale a team of community managers and moderators.
• Define and track community health metrics such as engagement, sentiment, growth and retention.
• Design and run community programmes including tipster onboarding, ambassadors, events, competitions and rewards.
• Establish and enforce community guidelines and moderation standards, ensuring responsible gaming.
• Represent the community internally, surfacing user feedback to product, marketing and leadership.
• Partner with marketing and product to launch features and campaigns that deepen community engagement.
• Manage influencer and tipster relationships that anchor the social experience.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years experience in community management, social media or growth, with leadership experience.
• Proven track record of building and scaling an engaged online community at significant scale.
• Deep understanding of Nigerian social platforms and online culture, especially around sports and betting.
• Strong leadership skills with experience hiring, managing and developing a team.
• Data‑driven mindset for community growth, engagement and retention.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to shape brand voice and tone.
• Genuine instinct for what makes communities thrive and a commitment to responsible gaming.
