Head of Audit

About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced Head of Audit to lead our internal audit function, strengthen controls, identify risks and ensure compliance with financial and operational policies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the annual internal audit plan and lead financial, operational and compliance audits.
• Evaluate internal controls, identify risks, investigate suspected fraud and review transactions, processes and records.
• Conduct audits of filling stations, logistics and other business operations, provide recommendations and monitor implementation.
• Prepare detailed audit reports for management and work with external auditors as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
• ACA, ACCA, CIA or equivalent professional qualification (preferred).
• Minimum 8 years of relevant audit experience, including managerial experience.
• Experience in Oil & Gas or downstream petroleum industry is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of internal controls, risk management and fraud detection.
• High level of integrity, professional judgement and excellent communication skills.
