Head of Accounts

About the role

A fast‑growing luxury retail and fashion accessories company is seeking a full‑time Head of Accounts to lead its finance function across Nigeria. The role reports to senior management and is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, profit and loss statements, and comprehensive financial reports.
• Oversee general ledger management, reconciliations, and maintain overall financial record integrity.
• Develop annual operating budgets, expenditure plans, and financial forecasts.
• Manage employee payroll and ensure timely statutory remittances and tax compliance.
• Supervise the Accounts Officer, provide leadership to the finance team, and liaise with internal and external auditors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as ICAN, ACA, ACCA, CFA or equivalent.
• 5–10 years of experience in accounting, finance, audit, or financial control.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, taxation standards, budgeting, and financial reporting.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Expert use of QuickBooks accounting software.
• Understanding of IFRS and local taxation standards.

What we offer

• Competitive salary ranging from ₦500,000 to ₦700,000 per month, based on experience.
