Graduate Trainee Finance/Operations

About the role

CB Capital Limited, a fund/portfolio manager licensed by the SEC Nigeria since June 2022, is hiring a full-time, on-site Graduate Trainee Finance/Operations based in Lagos State. The trainee supports daily finance and operations activities and takes part in research, training sessions and ad hoc projects to build practical skills in finance, accounting and investment operations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation, review and reconciliation of financial statements and reports
• Gather and analyse financial data and support transaction processing
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to internal control and compliance procedures
• Collaborate with team members to improve operational workflows
• Prepare documentation for portfolio and fund management activities
• Support reporting to internal and external stakeholders

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (B.Sc. or equivalent) in a science, technology, engineering or mathematics-related discipline
• 0-2 years' post-NYSC experience
• Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and identify trends
• Effective written and verbal communication
• Attention to detail, integrity and willingness to learn in a structured training environment
• Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team in Lagos

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office productivity tools
• Familiarity with financial analysis or accounting software is an advantage
