General Manager – Operations

About the role

The General Manager – Operations will lead all operational aspects of our hotel in Marina, Akwa Ibom. You will drive productivity, profitability and ensure compliance with standards while managing a diverse team.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all hotel operations including front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, maintenance, security and guest services.
• Implement strategies to improve productivity and profitability and monitor costs.
• Enforce effective internal controls, minimise operational leakages and strengthen compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
• Monitor inventory, procurement and asset utilisation, and prepare operational reports for senior management.
• Maintain staff discipline, accountability and performance standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in hospitality management, business administration, hotel management or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a reputable hotel.
• Professional certifications in hospitality, operations management or accounting (e.g., ICAN) are an advantage.
• Strong leadership, communication and decision‑making abilities with high integrity and professionalism.
• Ability to manage teams and work under pressure.

Required skills

• Proficiency in hotel management systems.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office applications.
