General Manager – Manufacturing Operations

About the role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and results‑driven General Manager to provide strategic and administrative leadership over the overall operations of its manufacturing business. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative and business acumen, proven experience managing manufacturing operations, and the ability to drive operational excellence, business growth, and organizational performance while fostering a high‑performance culture.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic and administrative direction to achieve the company’s business objectives.
• Oversee day‑to‑day administration, coordinating production, finance, sales, supply chain and general operations.
• Develop and implement policies, systems and structures that support growth, profitability and efficiency.
• Monitor organisational performance and ensure achievement of key business targets.
• Lead, mentor and develop senior management and departmental teams.
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, customers, suppliers and regulatory agencies.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory and company policies.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across administrative and operational functions.
• Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts and resource allocation.
• Identify business opportunities, manage risks and support long‑term sustainability.
• Promote a culture of accountability, integrity, innovation and operational excellence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Management or related field (MBA preferred).
• 10‑12 years’ experience in a General Manager or senior leadership role within manufacturing.
• Proven commercial and financial management expertise.
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship‑building abilities.
• Results‑oriented work ethic with excellent communication, negotiation and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to lead organisational transformation and drive business growth.
