General Manager – Commercial & Communications

About the role

Urban Crescent Furniture Ltd. is looking for an experienced General Manager to lead its Commercial & Communications Division. The role combines commercial growth, brand management and customer experience with executive oversight of multiple departments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute commercial strategies that drive sustainable revenue growth and profitability.
• Lead Sales, Customer Service and Business Development, overseeing forecasting, pipeline management and pricing discipline.
• Oversee corporate communications, brand positioning, public relations and media partnerships.
• Provide strategic direction for social media, content creation, video production, editing, email marketing and digital campaigns.
• Establish excellent customer service standards, manage complaint resolution and retention initiatives.
• Supervise quality control to ensure compliance with product standards.
• Oversee CRM, billing, reporting and other business systems, driving technology adoption and process improvement.
• Develop departmental budgets, performance standards and accountability frameworks, reporting directly to the Founder & Managing Director.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Management or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including at least five years in senior management or executive leadership.
• Proven track record of managing multiple departments and delivering commercial results.
• Strong financial acumen, strategic thinking and executive decision‑making capabilities.
• Experience in furniture, interiors, manufacturing or premium consumer goods is an advantage.
