Business Operations Manager

About the role

Digital Virgo Group is seeking a Business Operations Manager to lead operations and develop its partnership with OPay in Nigeria. Based in Lagos, you will be the primary liaison between OPay, local partners, and international teams, driving usage, conversion, and revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day relationship with OPay on operational, commercial and technical matters.
• Develop and negotiate agreements with aggregators, telecom operators, media agencies and content providers.
• Monitor and drive KPIs such as acquisition, active users, churn, ARPU and revenue.
• Build monthly forecasts and budgets with Finance, identify gaps and implement corrective actions.
• Reconcile volumes and revenues, handle revenue‑share statements, invoicing and payments.
• Optimise user journeys, conversion rates and payment success through A/B testing.
• Coordinate marketing campaigns, in‑app placements, bundles and promotions, measuring ROI.
• Lead cross‑functional projects covering product launches, technical integrations and regulatory initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with Nigerian regulations and partner policies, monitor fraud indicators and customer complaints.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Engineering or related field; Master’s/MBA a plus.
• Minimum four years of experience in business operations, account management, partnerships or business development.
• Experience in fintech, mobile payments, telecoms or digital services in Nigeria or another African market.
• Proven track record managing partners such as telecom operators, aggregators or media agencies.
• Strong analytical mindset, comfortable with KPIs, P&L statements, forecasts and dashboards.
