Frontend Engineer – Build Cutting‑Edge UI at a Leading Fintech

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Frontend Engineer to design and deliver high‑quality, responsive user interfaces for Flutterwave’s payment products. You will collaborate with product managers, designers and backend engineers to create seamless experiences for our customers across Africa and beyond.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement interactive front‑end solutions using Vue.js and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate requirements into visually appealing interfaces.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from design and implementation to testing and deployment.
• Optimize web applications for speed, scalability and cross‑browser compatibility.
• Conduct code reviews, provide feedback and maintain secure coding practices.

Required profile

• 3–9 years of professional experience as a Front‑End Engineer, preferably in fintech or financial services.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and modern front‑end frameworks, especially Vue.js.
• Experience with responsive, mobile‑first design and web performance optimisation.

Required skills

• JavaScript, Vue.js, TypeScript (plus).
• Responsive Web Design, Web Performance Optimization.
• Git version control and build tools such as Webpack, Gulp or Grunt.
• Unit testing frameworks (Jest, Enzyme, Jasmine) and test‑driven development.
