About the role

Boipays is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to build and scale the financial infrastructure powering payments, invoicing, reconciliation, reporting and automation across Africa. The position is remote and based in Nigeria.

Key responsibilities

Design and build backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
Develop APIs for payments, invoicing and reconciliation.
Architect scalable distributed systems.
Design secure authentication and authorization systems.
Optimize database performance and reliability.
Participate in technical roadmap planning.

Required profile

6+ years of backend engineering experience.
Experience building production-grade systems.

Required skills

Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot.
Experience with PostgreSQL and strong API design experience.
Preferred: Spring Security, Redis, Kafka, Docker and AWS.
