Fraud and Investigative Intern

About the role

The Fraud and Investigative Intern will support transaction monitoring, investigate suspicious activities, and assist with fraud prevention initiatives within a regulated financial services environment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor customer transactions and system alerts to identify suspicious or unusual activities.
• Escalate potentially fraudulent cases to senior team members and assist in reviewing flagged accounts.
• Support preliminary fraud investigations by gathering relevant data and maintaining accurate case documentation.
• Prepare daily and weekly fraud monitoring reports and maintain proper records of fraud cases.
• Assist in reviewing fraud prevention controls, support implementation of updated policies, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with Operations, Customer Service, Technology, and Risk teams and contribute to fraud awareness initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic reporting tools.
