Financial Reporting Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Financial Reporting Accountant to join our team in Lagos. You will be responsible for preparing and analysing financial statements for our banking and finance clients, ensuring compliance with IFRS and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with IFRS.
• Analyse financial data and provide insights to support client decision‑making.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist in the preparation of management reports and board packs.
• Support audit processes by preparing schedules and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with tax, statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to improve reporting processes.
• Monitor financial performance, identifying trends, risks and opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in financial reporting, preferably in a consulting or professional services environment.
• Professional certification such as ICAN or ACCA (or in progress) is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder management skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
