Financial Advisor – Sales Role

About the role

This full‑time Financial Advisor position is based in Lagos and operates on a hybrid model, combining office work with remote days. You will be responsible for identifying prospective clients, presenting Leadway’s insurance and financial solutions, and guiding them through the entire sales cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and engage prospective clients across individual and corporate segments.
• Present appropriate life, non‑life insurance, pension and other financial products.
• Manage the sales cycle from lead generation to closing, including needs assessments and proposal preparation.
• Maintain regular follow‑up to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
• Provide advisory support on insurance and financial solutions.
• Collaborate with internal teams for seamless onboarding and service delivery.
• Participate in sales meetings, trainings and reporting activities to track performance against targets.

Required profile

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build long‑term client relationships.
• Effective communication skills for clearly explaining financial products.
• Customer‑service orientation with a professional and ethical approach.
• Proven sales abilities, including prospecting, negotiation, closing and meeting targets.
• Experience delivering or participating in training related to financial products or sales techniques.
• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of insurance, pensions or broader financial services in Nigeria is an advantage.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment, manage time effectively and use digital tools for remote collaboration.
