Finance/Accountant (Real Estate)

About the role

This is a full-time, on-site Finance/Accountant position based in Abuja, focused on real estate. The Finance/Accountant manages day-to-day financial operations for real estate projects, including preparing and reviewing financial statements, monitoring cash flow and ensuring accurate transaction recording. The role also covers budgeting and forecasting, financial planning for property acquisitions and developments, and monthly, quarterly and annual reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements and monitor cash flow
• Oversee budgeting and forecasting, and support financial planning for property acquisitions and developments
• Handle monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting
• Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate ledgers using accounting software
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations
• Provide analytical support to leadership for investment decisions and performance reviews
• Work with auditors, banks and regulatory bodies to maintain strong financial controls and transparency

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field; professional certification (e.g. ACA, ACCA) is an advantage
• Strong foundation in finance, with experience interpreting and preparing financial statements
• Hands-on experience with accounting software and general ledger management
• Relevant experience in real estate finance or property accounting, including project-based accounting
• Attention to detail, numerical accuracy and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
