Finance Officer

About the role

NJZC International Construction is hiring a Finance Officer in Lagos (Marina). The role covers day-to-day financial record keeping, monitoring of cash flow and budget variances, and support for payroll and statutory remittances.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily financial transactions, receipts, payments and expense records.
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ledgers and supporting documentation.
• Monitor cash flow, collections, payments and outstanding receivables.
• Perform regular bank, cash and account reconciliations.
• Monitor income and expenses against approved budgets and identify variances.
• Process invoices, payments, petty cash and other financial documentation, ensuring expenses are documented and approved.
• Support payroll preparation and statutory remittances where required.
• Maintain financial records for audit and tax purposes and ensure compliance with company financial policies and accounting standards.

Required profile

• First degree in Accounting, Economics, Banking & Finance or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years' relevant work experience in a finance or accounting role.
• Experience working with an international organization.
• Professional accounting qualification such as ICAN/ACCA is an advantage.
• Experience in construction, engineering or a similar business environment is an advantage.
