Field Service Engineer – Kaduna/Zaria

About the role

Jaza is expanding its solar energy network across Nigeria and needs skilled Field Service Engineers to ensure energy uptime at its hubs. You will travel between sites in Kaduna and Zaria, diagnosing and fixing technical issues to keep power available for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor system performance and quickly resolve technical faults to maintain uninterrupted power.
• Support the installation and commissioning of new hubs, ensuring connectivity and performing routine maintenance.
• Oversee the installation and configuration of solar panels, electrical wiring, and related equipment.
• Collaborate with local Jaza Stars and the data team to diagnose challenges and document field activities.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and prepare regular hub health reports for the Regional Service Engineer.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of hands‑on technical or engineering experience in the energy or telecommunications sector.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a focus on safety and HSE compliance.
• Ability to work independently, travel frequently, and communicate effectively with diverse teams.
• Passion for increasing energy access and willingness to learn new technologies.
