Field Sales Representative

About the role

Scalein is hiring a Field Sales Representative in Lagos to drive sales and distribution of its products across assigned territories. The role involves building a customer and distributor network, generating new accounts and working toward sales and territory-development targets.

Key responsibilities

• Drive sales and distribution of products across assigned territories.
• Identify, recruit and develop distributors, wholesalers, retailers and other trade customers.
• Visit existing and prospective customers regularly to generate sales and strengthen relationships.
• Build and maintain a strong customer and distributor network across Lagos, Ibadan or Abeokuta.
• Present products professionally and negotiate orders, converting prospects into active customers.
• Follow up with distributors and customers to encourage repeat orders and sustained availability.
• Monitor product visibility and availability, track competitor activity and market developments, and report feedback to management.
• Maintain accurate records of visits, sales, orders, new accounts and follow-ups.
• Work toward assigned sales, distribution and territory targets and represent the company professionally on the field.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales or a related field.
• 4-7 years of proven experience in field sales, territory sales, distribution sales, FMCG sales or a related role.
• Demonstrated experience developing and managing distributor, wholesaler and retail accounts.
• Experience selling FMCG, beverages or alcoholic beverages is an advantage.
• Willingness to work within the assigned location and travel within the territory as required.

• Ability to work independently and manage a territory effectively.
