Expat Finishing Supervisor (Construction) x2

About the role

eRecruiter is recruiting two expat Finishing Supervisors for a construction and engineering firm based in Lagos. The role ensures projects are completed safely, with high quality and within schedule and budget, working closely with project managers, artisans and other stakeholders. The position is offered as a 1-year renewable contract, subject to performance review and project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee project schedules so tasks are completed on time and within budget.
• Resolve finishing construction issues promptly while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
• Calculate, monitor and track materials needed for each project to prevent overruns, and work with project managers on timely procurement.
• Plan and communicate scope of work to artisans, reviewing production and quality.
• Check technical designs and drawings for accuracy and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to health and safety protocols on site.
• Prepare site reports documenting progress, issues and resolutions.
• Fulfil any additional responsibilities assigned by General Managers, Technical Managers or Project Managers.

Required profile

• Diploma or university degree in Construction, Building, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years' experience as a finishing supervisor, in construction or civil engineering.
• Experience in block work, plastering, tiling and general finishing is required.
• Professional certifications in Engineering or Building are advantageous but not mandatory.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD for reviewing technical designs.
• Advanced MS Office skills for documentation and communication.
• Familiarity with Adobe Professional for creating and editing project documents.
