AC Technician (Level 2)

About the role

A construction company in Lagos is looking for an AC Technician (Level 2) to join its team. The role covers routine maintenance and inspection of air conditioning systems, with daily reporting to the team leader and work performed with minimal supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Take maintenance readings such as supply voltage, supply and return air temperature, ambient temperature, and refrigerant suction and discharge pressures.
• Check 3-way valve operation, the cooling water (CHW) strainer and clean it where necessary, and inspect ductwork and insulation.
• Check the control system and interlocks.
• Report completion of each task to the team leader daily and perform any other related duties assigned.
• Work safely, follow health and safety procedures and wear personal protective equipment.
• Report defects, hazards, injuries and incidents to the supervisor, HSE representatives or QHSE manager, and know emergency and evacuation procedures.

Required profile

• Ability to work with minimal daily supervision.
• Knowledge of relevant machines and tools, their design, use, repair and maintenance.
• Knowledge of tools and materials for heating, ventilation and air-conditioning installation, repair and maintenance.
• Knowledge of quality standards, HR and HSE policies, and basic customer service principles.
