Entertainment Lawyer – Music & Media Contracts

About the role

Primote Africa is seeking a qualified lawyer to support its entertainment and music operations. The role focuses on drafting, reviewing and negotiating music‑related contracts and providing legal advice on intellectual property matters.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate artist, producer, distribution, licensing and partnership agreements.
• Provide legal support on copyright, trademarks and other intellectual property issues.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and industry regulations.
• Maintain accurate legal records and assist with contract administration.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks in business transactions.
• Support dispute resolution and coordinate with external counsel when needed.
• Offer legal advice to internal teams on day‑to‑day operations.
• Conduct legal research on entertainment, media and technology matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B.) and qualification to practice law in Nigeria.
• 1–2 years of post‑qualification experience.
• Strong interest in entertainment, media, music or intellectual property law.
• Professionalism, discretion and high attention to detail.
