Engineer II – Maintenance & Guest Services

About the role

The Engineer II provides on‑site technical support for guest rooms and hotel facilities, ensuring all maintenance requests are resolved quickly and safely. Working independently, you will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and mentor junior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to guest repair requests and communicate solutions.
• Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, and visual inspections of tools and equipment.
• Identify and operate shut‑off valves, manage inventory, and requisition parts.
• Repair or replace HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic, carpentry, and kitchen equipment as needed.
• Use lockout/tagout procedures before any maintenance work.
• Utilise engineering software for preventive maintenance, energy management, and MEP system monitoring.
• Train and mentor Engineer I staff and act as Engineer on Duty for rounds and readings.

Required profile

• Proficiency in at least one technical category (e.g., HVAC) with above‑average skills in two others.
• Solid knowledge of safe hand and power‑tool usage.
• Basic ability to solder and repair PVC/copper piping.
• Capability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Commitment to safety policies, reporting hazards, and maintaining professional appearance.
