Electrical / Mechanical Engineer

About the role

The Electrical and Mechanical Engineer is responsible for planning, executing and overseeing integrated building systems. The role ensures the seamless design and coordination of electrical, mechanical and building services while keeping to safety standards, project budgets and quality benchmarks throughout the construction lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and integration of electrical, mechanical and building service systems.
• Generate technical documentation, including detailed drawings, specifications and engineering calculations.
• Align MEP designs with architectural and structural blueprints.
• Oversee on-site installation to ensure it matches approved engineering plans.
• Evaluate materials, equipment and construction techniques for quality and regulatory compliance.
• Perform regular site visits to resolve technical issues and keep projects running smoothly.
• Facilitate collaboration between architects, general contractors, suppliers and external consultants.
• Audit and approve shop drawings and technical submittals before implementation.
• Track project milestones, manage associated costs and monitor MEP deliverable quality.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, industry standards and safety regulations.
• Compile and finalise documentation needed for testing, commissioning and handover.
