Civil Engineer

About the role

This role focuses on the comprehensive management and oversight of civil and structural engineering initiatives within construction environments. It ensures that infrastructure projects are executed with precision, following strict safety protocols and design specifications while maintaining high quality throughout the construction lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of structural and civil engineering tasks across construction sites.
• Generate detailed structural blueprints, perform calculations, define technical specifications and compile reports.
• Facilitate collaboration between civil/structural teams and architectural or MEP departments to align designs.
• Oversee on-site construction to ensure adherence to approved engineering plans.
• Evaluate materials, craftsmanship and overall quality against project standards.
• Track progress of foundations, concrete pours, steel structures, drainage systems and roadways.
• Perform regular site assessments to resolve technical challenges promptly.
• Verify compliance with building codes, safety regulations and engineering mandates.
• Analyze and approve contractor methodologies, shop drawings and technical proposals.
• Track project timelines, material usage and financial expenditures.
• Execute testing procedures and quality assurance inspections, and maintain engineering records.
