Electrical Engineering Intern - Solar PV and Battery Storage

About the role

Jobberman is recruiting an Electrical Engineering Intern in Lagos, within the renewable energy sector. The intern supports the design, installation and commissioning of solar PV and battery energy storage systems, and helps prepare technical documentation while ensuring compliance with Nigerian electrical standards and HSE policies.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the design of solar PV and battery energy storage systems.
• Support the preparation of electrical single-line diagrams (SLDs), wiring diagrams and load schedules.
• Conduct electrical load assessments and site surveys.
• Assist in sizing cables, circuit breakers and other electrical protection devices.
• Support testing and commissioning of solar PV, inverters, batteries and associated equipment.
• Monitor system performance and report faults or abnormalities.
• Ensure compliance with Nigerian electrical standards, HSE policies and industry best practices.
• Assist in preparing technical reports, project documentation and as-built drawings.
• Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Participate in research on emerging renewable energy technologies.
