Drilling Logistics Lead III

About the role

Emerging Hire is recruiting a Drilling Logistics Lead III for a full-time position in Nigeria's energy sector. The role leads logistics operations for offshore and onshore drilling sites, covering material requirements, inventory, equipment and contract administration, and requires on-site work at the designated facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate complex material requirements, inventory management and equipment replenishment for offshore and onshore drilling sites.
• Manage the full lifecycle of contract administration and oil field accounting, keeping logistics aligned with project budgets and regulatory standards.
• Oversee material handling equipment, including heavy-duty cranes and forklifts, supporting drilling rig activities.
• Supervise personnel and manage logistics for new operations in remote locations, ensuring smooth setup and sustained equipment availability.
• Direct equipment repair and fabrication cycles, with quality checks to keep the fleet ready and safe.
• Manage multiple project priorities and liaise with stakeholders across the company.

Required profile

• 6-10 years of professional experience in drilling logistics or a related oil and gas supply chain role.
• Associate degree in a relevant technical field, complemented by formal mechanical trade training.
• Proven experience supervising multi-disciplinary teams and managing labour in challenging or frontier environments.
• Ability to perform all duties on site in Nigeria, with no need for additional off-site travel.

• Exceptional analytical and communication skills, with ethical judgment in complex, high-stakes situations.
