Dispensing Associate - Pharmaceutical Warehouse

About the role

This role supports warehouse operations in a pharmaceutical setting by accurately dispensing, weighing, issuing and documenting raw materials and packaging materials needed for production. The work must comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety standards and company procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Receive approved material requisitions from the Production Department and ensure materials are dispensed according to authorised requests.
• Weigh, measure and dispense raw materials in line with approved Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs) and dispensing instructions.
• Check material names, batch numbers, quantities, status labels and expiry dates before dispensing.
• Issue only approved and released materials for production.
• Perform dispensing in designated areas while keeping them clean and preventing cross-contamination.
• Ensure proper identification, labelling and documentation of all dispensed materials.
• Maintain accurate records of issued materials, quantities dispensed, material balances and batch details.

Required profile

• Minimum of an OND in Science Laboratory Technology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Industrial Chemistry or a related discipline.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in warehouse dispensing or pharmaceutical manufacturing operations.
• Experience in raw material handling, weighing and dispensing in a pharmaceutical environment is an added advantage.
