Digital Fleet Manager

About the role

We are seeking a tech‑savvy Digital Fleet Manager to lead the operation of our mixed fleet of diesel, CNG and LNG trucks. You will use telematics and data analysis to maximise uptime, control fuel and gas costs, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan daily truck deployment, routes and utilisation for diesel, CNG and LNG units.
• Maintain accurate records of all CNG/LNG gas takes, including date, truck ID, station, volume, cost and mileage.
• Reconcile fuel/gas cards and supplier invoices against telematics consumption.
• Analyse cost‑per‑km for each fuel type and recommend the most economical mix per route.
• Manage telematics, GPS tracking, ELD and fleet‑management software; monitor speeding, idling and harsh braking.
• Own the fleet dashboard and produce weekly/monthly performance reports.
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules, focusing on CNG/LNG tanks, valves and safety certifications.
• Ensure compliance with FRSC, SON, DPR/NMDPRA and insurance requirements.
• Negotiate with vendors for maintenance, tyres, gas supply, tracking and insurance.
• Train drivers on CNG/LNG safety, eco‑driving and SOPs.

Required profile

• HND/BSc in Mechanical Engineering, Transport/Logistics or a related field.
• 4+ years in fleet management or transport operations; 2+ years managing CNG/LNG trucks is a strong advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.
• High integrity and accountability for fuel/gas records.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel / Google Sheets.
• Experience with fleet/TMS software and GPS/telematics platforms.
• Data analysis and reporting.
