Procurement Officer

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Procurement Officer to manage sourcing, purchasing and supplier relationships for our confectionery production. The role ensures uninterrupted supply of raw materials, packaging and consumables while balancing cost, quality and delivery timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and source reliable suppliers for raw materials, packaging and consumables.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms and delivery schedules to achieve best value.
• Maintain the approved supplier list and monitor supplier performance.
• Raise purchase orders, track deliveries and resolve any supplier issues.
• Collaborate with the Inventory Officer for reorder planning and prevent stock‑outs.
• Maintain accurate procurement records using Google Sheets.
• Support audits and management reviews by providing required documentation.
• Protect the company from waste, fraud and over‑reliance on single suppliers.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing or supply chain management.
• Strong negotiation and commercial acumen with a focus on value, not just lowest price.
• Resourceful and able to find alternative suppliers and solve unexpected challenges.
• Independent decision‑maker who can own the end‑to‑end procurement process.
• Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to urgent production needs.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Google Sheets for record‑keeping and reporting.
