Route Mapping & Optimization Officer

About the role

The Route Mapping & Optimization Officer will design, maintain and improve sales territories, outlet maps and delivery routes for Esosa Food Systems. You will work closely with sales, logistics and IT teams to ensure efficient field operations and data‑driven decision making.

Key responsibilities

• Map and update sales territories, outlets and delivery routes, identifying overlaps and coverage gaps.
• Analyse routes to reduce delivery time, distance and cost, incorporating traffic, schedules and field realities.
• Clean, validate and maintain outlet, customer and territory data; support geo‑tagging and accurate allocation.
• Develop performance reports and dashboards using Excel and Power BI to track route productivity and sales execution.
• Provide first‑level support for SFA/CRM, GPS/telematics and other digital tools used in route‑to‑market operations.
• Collaborate with Area Sales Managers, drivers and other field staff to implement optimized routes and process improvements.

Required profile

• Mid‑level experience (approximately 3 years) in route planning, logistics or sales operations.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret large data sets.
• Excellent communication skills to convey route insights to cross‑functional teams.
• Proficiency in English.
