DevOps Engineer – Cloud Automation & CI/CD

About the role

Kuda Bank, a leading African neobank, is seeking a DevOps Engineer to design, automate, and maintain its cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. You will work closely with development teams to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable services that support the bank’s mission across Africa and the diaspora.

Key responsibilities

• Implement testing and automation tools and provision IT infrastructure.
• Provision, configure, and de‑provision environments through automation.
• Define and maintain development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operations.
• Apply troubleshooting techniques, resolve code bugs, and ensure adherence to DevOps processes.
• Develop metrics and monitoring dashboards to improve system performance and operational efficiency.
• Perform vulnerability assessments, risk management, and deploy cybersecurity measures.
• Document best practices, manage incident response, and conduct root‑cause analysis.
• Select, deploy, and maintain CI/CD tools to build continuous integration, delivery, and deployment pipelines.

Required profile

• 3+ years of industry experience in DevOps or related roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience with CI/CD platforms (Azure DevOps is a plus).
• Hands‑on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog, ElasticSearch, and Sentry.
• Familiarity with infrastructure‑as‑code tools like Ansible and Terraform.
• Strong background in Kubernetes orchestration and management.
• Experience supporting relational databases and distributed platforms.
