Desktop Support Officer

About the role

Provide IT support across a broad range of technologies, collaborating with business units to resolve incidents, service requests, and technical issues promptly. Ensure smooth operation of desktop systems, peripherals, and end‑user technology services while minimizing disruption.

Key responsibilities

• Timely resolution of IT incidents and minimising downtime for end‑users.
• Install, configure, and support desktops, laptops, telephony systems, wireless networks, printers, scanners, mobile devices and other peripherals.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software and network‑related issues.
• Perform desk‑side technical assistance as required.
• Maintain desktop infrastructure through routine maintenance, upgrades, patches, releases and hot‑fixes.
• Monitor endpoint security compliance, including OS updates and antivirus definitions.
• Document, log, track and escalate incidents according to support procedures.
