Data Engineer – Build Scalable Data Platforms

About the role

Interswitch is seeking Data Engineers to design, build and maintain centralized data stores that support analytics, business intelligence and machine‑learning initiatives. You will apply software‑engineering principles to ETL development and help shape the data architecture that powers the company’s payment processing ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Consult with stakeholders to standardise data capture and ensure data quality.
• Develop, test and maintain large‑scale databases and processing systems for data accessibility and transformation.
• Collaborate with other data architecture teams to drive cohesive data governance across the organisation.
• Support the creation of machine‑learning models through statistical analysis and data preparation.
• Perform regression modelling and segmentation analysis to inform marketing and business performance metrics.
• Mentor team members, promote data‑driven product design and stay updated on industry best practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience in data architecture and ETL development.
• Ability to work with distributed processing frameworks and large‑scale data pipelines.
• Strong analytical mindset for statistical analysis and regression modelling.
• Experience supporting machine‑learning initiatives and business‑intelligence reporting.
