Cyber Security Trainer

About the role

Fibertrain, a specialist in cybersecurity upskilling, is seeking a full‑time Cyber Security Trainer to design, deliver and continuously improve practical training programs for learners of varying skill levels. The position is based on‑site in Lagos State, Nigeria.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present instructor‑led sessions covering application security, network security, information security and malware analysis.
• Create hands‑on labs, practical exercises and assessment materials aligned with industry certifications.
• Develop course roadmaps and training curricula that reflect current threats and best practices.
• Mentor learners, provide performance feedback and support talent‑assessment initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal teams to update content and contribute to workshops, webinars and corporate training engagements.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in core cybersecurity and information security concepts, frameworks and best practices.
• Hands‑on experience with network security design, firewalls, IDS/IPS and basic SOC operations.
• Practical knowledge of application security, secure coding principles and vulnerability identification.
• Understanding of malware analysis fundamentals and common attack techniques.
• Prior experience as a trainer, instructor or mentor in technical or cybersecurity domains is highly desirable.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Security+, CEH, CISSP, GIAC) are an advantage.
• Excellent communication and classroom‑management skills with a learner‑focused approach.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
