Cyber Security Trainer

About the role

Fibertrain – The CyberSecurity Company is seeking a passionate Cyber Security Trainer to design, deliver, and continuously improve hands‑on cybersecurity training programs for learners of varying skill levels. This full‑time, on‑site position is based in Lagos State, Nigeria, and focuses on practical, industry‑relevant instruction.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and present instructor‑led sessions covering application security, network security, information security, and malware analysis.
• Create hands‑on labs, practical exercises, and assessment tools aligned with global certifications.
• Mentor learners, provide performance feedback, and support talent assessment initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal teams to update curricula and incorporate emerging threats and tools.
• Contribute to workshops, webinars, and corporate training engagements as needed.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in core cybersecurity and information security concepts, frameworks, and best practices.
• Hands‑on experience with network security design, firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR, and basic SOC operations.
• Practical knowledge of application security, secure coding principles, and vulnerability identification.
• Understanding of malware analysis fundamentals and common attack techniques.
• Prior experience as a trainer, instructor, or mentor in technical or cybersecurity domains.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, Security+, CEH, AWS‑SAA, SSCP) are a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent practical experience.
• Excellent communication skills and a learner‑focused approach.
