Customer Service Officer

About the role

We are looking for a Customer Service Officer to join Homelight Properties Limited in Port Harcourt. The role involves delivering prompt, courteous, and professional service to our property clients and handling escalated inquiries.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to customers promptly across calls, emails, walk‑ins and social platforms.
• Respond to escalated complaints and service‑related issues.
• Monitor and track communication channels and maintain accurate customer databases.
• Prepare weekly and monthly service reports for management.
• Conduct service quality checks and customer satisfaction surveys.
• Train, coach and support the customer service team.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Operations and Business Development for smooth client handover.
• Develop strategies to improve customer experience and loyalty.
• Handle sensitive, high‑value customer cases professionally.

Required profile

• Minimum HND in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing or related field.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience, with supervisory or managerial exposure.
• Experience in real estate, banking, telecoms or hospitality is a plus.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented, organized and able to work under pressure.
• Leadership and conflict‑resolution abilities.

Required skills

• CRM software knowledge (Zoho, HubSpot, Bitrix or similar).
• Microsoft Office proficiency – Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
