Customer Care Officer - Banking

About the role

Catilas Resources Limited is recruiting, on behalf of a leading commercial bank, highly motivated Customer Care Officers. The role covers customer service, cash handling and tellering, complaint resolution, transaction processing and cross-selling, with nationwide coverage.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries by phone, email and face-to-face, explain banking products, services, policies and procedures, and keep a professional, positive attitude.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, transfers and payments accurately; handle cash, verify amounts and reconcile daily transactions and cash drawers.
• Issue cheques, drafts and other banking instruments.
• Identify counterfeit notes, report suspicious transactions and resolve customer complaints quickly.
• Investigate discrepancies, fix them and help customers with online and mobile banking issues.
• Facilitate account openings, loan applications and card issuance, and assist with orders and transaction tracking.
• Educate customers on product features and promote loans, savings plans and investment options.
• Maintain accurate customer records, document interactions and follow AML and data protection rules.
• Meet service metrics such as response time, resolution rate and customer satisfaction, and contribute to process improvements.

Required profile

• Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in any field with a minimum of Lower Credit.
• Aged 27 as of the last birthday.
• Nationwide location.
• Banking operations experience is an added advantage.

Required skills

• Strong numerical, problem-solving and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word and Outlook).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Integrity, professionalism and a strong work ethic.
