Credit Sales Team Lead

About the role

We are looking for a Credit Sales Team Lead to drive our credit‑sales strategy, manage a high‑performing sales team and expand our market presence across Lagos and Abuja.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales‑driven business strategies focused on credit sales to generate leads and increase revenue.
• Lead, coach and support the sales team to achieve individual and collective targets.
• Set clear sales objectives and KPIs, monitor performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Identify and pursue new credit‑sales opportunities to grow the customer base.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners.
• Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align sales efforts with company objectives.
• Conduct market research on trends, competitors and growth opportunities.
• Prepare and present regular credit‑sales reports and recommendations to senior management.
• Stay up‑to‑date with industry developments and drive innovation.
• Implement and optimise credit‑sales processes and systems for efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field.
• 5+ years of successful credit‑sales management experience, preferably in banking, financial houses or FinTech.
• 2+ years of experience leading or managing a sales team.
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, competitive sales environment.
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Data‑driven analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Strategic thinker with a results‑oriented, customer‑focused mindset.
