Credit Recovery Officer

About the role

CK Hill Projects Nigeria Limited is a business process outsourcing company offering debt recovery, call centre outsourcing, customer support and other services. It is hiring a full-time, on-site Credit Recovery Officer in Port Harcourt to recover outstanding debts while keeping respectful and professional relationships with customers.

Key responsibilities

• Contact clients by phone, email and in person to negotiate payment plans, resolve disputes and confirm account details.
• Monitor overdue accounts and analyse credit and repayment histories.
• Prepare recovery reports and recommend actions in line with company policy and regulatory requirements.
• Document interactions, update internal systems and collaborate with finance and customer service teams.
• Escalate complex cases when needed.

Required profile

• Practical experience in debt collection and credit recovery, including negotiating repayment plans and managing overdue accounts.
• Diploma or degree in finance, accounting, business administration, economics or a related field preferred; prior experience in credit control, collections or a similar role preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, customer service skills and attention to detail.
• Integrity and confidentiality when handling financial information, and the ability to work under pressure and meet targets.

Required skills

• Analytical skills and basic finance knowledge to review account data and assess risks.
• Proficiency in standard office and CRM software is beneficial.
