Credit Officer

About the role

Accessbest Capital Limited is hiring a full-time Credit Officer in Marina, Edo State, Nigeria. The role covers sourcing and assessing loan customers, disbursing loans and monitoring repayments, while meeting disbursement and recovery targets.

Key responsibilities

• Source and onboard qualified loan customers.
• Conduct customer appraisal, verification and credit assessment.
• Recommend suitable loan facilities based on customers' needs and repayment capacity.
• Disburse loans, monitor loan performance and ensure timely repayments.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Achieve assigned loan disbursement and recovery targets.
• Prepare and submit weekly credit and portfolio reports.
• Ensure compliance with company credit policies and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum of OND in any relevant discipline.
• At least 2 years' hands-on experience as a credit officer in a microfinance bank, finance company, fintech, cooperative or lending institution.
• Proven track record in loan sourcing, disbursement and recovery.
• Ability to work independently and meet performance targets.

Required skills

• Strong communication, negotiation and customer relationship management skills.
• Good knowledge of credit risk assessment and portfolio management.

Preferred candidates are based in Benin City and Aba. The stated remuneration is NGN 150,000 per month.
