Corporate/Strategic Communications Associate

About the role

The Influence Agency is seeking a Corporate/Strategic Communications Associate to join its Lagos team. This full‑time position works in a hybrid setting, primarily remote, and supports purpose‑driven campaigns that connect brands with influential voices.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute communication strategies, drafting press releases, speeches, talking points, internal memos and stakeholder communications.
• Monitor media and social channels, prepare performance reports and insights.
• Maintain up‑to‑date media and influencer lists and coordinate with internal teams for consistent messaging.
• Support client presentations, assist with campaign planning and create content for corporate announcements, thought‑leadership pieces and influencer‑led initiatives.
• Manage client communications, respond to inquiries and help organise events, briefings and training sessions.

Required profile

• Strong analytical ability to interpret data, track campaign performance and deliver clear insights.
• Foundational understanding of finance concepts for budgeting and reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to brand voice.
• Customer‑service mindset focused on client satisfaction in a fast‑paced agency.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, PR, Marketing, Business or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated experience (internship or professional) in corporate communications, public affairs, PR or marketing.
• Familiarity with social media platforms, influencer marketing and basic media‑monitoring tools.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a hybrid environment.
