About the role
inDrive is seeking a charismatic Chief Wahala Officer (CWO) to become the voice of everyday Lagos movement challenges. The role blends community insight, on‑the‑ground experience, and public storytelling to help reduce traffic and delivery stress across the city.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and analyse the various forms of Lagos "wahala" affecting commuters and deliveries.
- Develop and promote practical solutions to minimise unnecessary movement stress.
- Navigate traffic, weather, and peak‑hour conditions while maintaining composure.
- Act as a spokesperson for citizens during moments of extreme transport frustration.
- Detect and pre‑empt “Your package is almost there” situations before they become problems.
Required profile
- At least 5 years of hands‑on experience navigating Lagos traffic and delivery routes.
- Deep knowledge of local shortcuts, even those that still lead to congestion.
- Proven ability to operate under pressure and after long waiting periods.
- Strong community presence or online following, with influence over fellow Lagosians.
- Entertaining, expressive, and relatable communication style.
- Comfortable speaking publicly about everyday Lagos experiences.
- Ownership of a small business or understanding of delivery challenges is a plus.
