HR Supervisor

About the role

The HR Supervisor will lead the human resources function for a school environment, overseeing recruitment, employee relations and performance management. This full‑time position is based in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, and works closely with school leadership to enhance organisational effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment, onboarding and employee documentation for teaching and non‑teaching staff.
• Maintain accurate, confidential employee records and HR databases.
• Coordinate staff attendance, leave, payroll inputs, benefits and welfare activities.
• Develop and implement HR policies, procedures and staff guidelines.
• Handle employee relations, grievances, disciplinary matters and conflict resolution.

Required profile

• Minimum HND in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, Management or related field.
• 5+ years of HR experience, preferably in an educational or structured organisation.
• Professional HR certification (CIPM, SHRM, HRCI) is an advantage.
• Based in or willing to work in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with HR information/record management systems.
